Submission guidelines and terms for contributing to Light Fighter Manifesto.
What We Accept
Payment in Monero, Bitcoin, or money order. Payment within 48 hours of acceptance.
What We Do Not Accept
Unsourced opinion pieces, product promotions, affiliate content, undisclosed republications, fiction, and satire are all outside our scope. If a submission requires heavy rewriting, it will be returned.
Article Format
Articles should run between 1,500 and 3,000 words. Submit as Markdown (.md), .docx, or .odt and name the file ARTICLE_Title_Author_Date.md. Follow AP Style throughout. No contractions, no exclamation points.
Every article needs a specific, descriptive title followed by an introduction that states the thesis in two to three paragraphs. Organize the body under ## headings where each section introduces new evidence or advances the argument. End with a Sources section listing named publications and dates. Every statistic must be cited.
Read The Digital Panopticon and Quick Kill before submitting. These set the standard for voice, sourcing, and structure. Drafts that read like blog posts will be rejected.
Images
Images are welcome but not required. If you include them, send separate JPEG or PNG files at a minimum of 1920 x 1080px. Hero images intended for social preview cards should be at least 1200 x 630px. All images must be original work or properly licensed. No uncleared stock photography. Include captions keyed to filenames. Articles submitted without images will run with an editorial placeholder.
Rights & Terms
LFM acquires First Digital Rights: exclusive first publication on lightfightermanifesto.org and its affiliated platforms, including the NomadNet node and onion site. You retain full copyright and ownership. For volume contributions, LFM additionally acquires print and digital distribution rights for that specific volume.
The exclusivity window is 90 days from the date of publication. After that period you are free to republish or resell the work without restriction. Requests to republish within the 90-day window are considered on a case-by-case basis.
We will consider previously published work at a reduced rate, provided you disclose where and when it originally appeared. Submitting published work without disclosure is grounds for immediate rejection.
We edit for style, clarity, and structure but do not rewrite. If our edits materially change the meaning of your work, you will review the revision before publication. Unsolicited submissions carry no kill fee. Terms for commissioned work are negotiated separately.
Submit
You can send either a pitch or a finished manuscript. A pitch should be two to three paragraphs outlining the subject, its relevance, and the sources you intend to use. Strong pitches will receive a request for the full draft. Cold submissions of complete manuscripts are also welcome. Include your Monero or Bitcoin address for payment, or let us know if you prefer a money order. We accept anonymous submissions and pseudonyms.
Pitches receive a response within 7 days. Complete manuscripts within 14. If you have not heard back within that window, one follow-up is appropriate. Silence after a follow-up means the piece was not selected.
