Techno Guerrilla Modules

Techno Guerrilla is a free web series in field-built technical self-reliance. Every module below is self-contained, ends with a field exercise and a ten-question test, and can be read on its own. The series runs as a desktop system at /series/; this page is the plain index.

001 The modules_□✕

00 Hardening Secure the phone and laptop you already own. A threat model, a phone and laptop lockdown, account security, and the SSH keys later modules depend on.

01 Networking Build a private server on a Raspberry Pi that carries your chat, filters your DNS, and connects your devices through a VPN. Nothing on it is exposed to the public internet.

02 Electronics How current, voltage, and resistance behave in a circuit, and what each common component does. By the end you can read a schematic and verify a real circuit with a multimeter.

03 Building Circuits Turn schematics into working hardware. Each circuit is drawn in KiCad, proven on a breadboard, then handed to a Raspberry Pi to control. Ends with an isolated switch and a self-powered tamper node.

04 Salvage Stock your bench with parts pulled from discarded electronics instead of a retailer's supply chain. Where to find donor devices, how to open them safely, how to read their documentation, and how to test every component.

06 RF Theory What a radio link physically is: wave, power, path, antenna, and receiver. Then a field exercise, tuning a software-defined radio across the bands and identifying signals by band and modulation.

07 Assessing a Structure Read a structure from the outside in: its electrical service from open sources through to the panel, and its radio environment from the antennas to a spectrum sweep, then baseline what is normal for the site.

Module 05 is not published yet, which is why the numbering skips it. The modules are written to be taken in order, but each one states what it assumes, so you can start at the one you need.
